SCI & SCI-2 This forum is for answering questions about the Sense of Community Index (SCI) and the newly developed Sense of Community Index version 2 (SCI-2) based on the theoretical work of McMillan & Chavis (1986). Both instruments are available in the SenseofCommunity.com Library.

Default comparative data

I have just administered the SCI-2 in a class on community in a small residential university (for teaching purposes not research). I am curious about whether there are any kind of published norms or data that could be used as a point of comparison. Our mean for the overall scores was 51.56, which seems high though this is not surprising as we very intentionally value our small community atmosphere.
